What I Do
I provide legal advice and representation in respect of a wide range of disputes including those in the fields of :- professional negligence, contractual and commercial disputes, property and construction law, director and shareholder disputes, professional regulation and discipline.
I accept appointments as a mediator and also as an arbitrator to resolve disputes between parties. I am accredited as a mediator with the ADR Group and also the Academy of Experts and I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and hold their prestigious Diploma in International Commercial Arbitration.
I adopt a pragmatic approach to dispute resolution in the interests of my clients and I explain legal issues to clients in clear language.
My Background
I was called to the Bar in 1977. I practised as a Solicitor and Partner from 1988 - 1995 in a West End boutique legal practice. I returned to practice to the Bar in 1996. I became a member of the Northern Irish Bar in November 2014. I therefore have the benefit of previous administrative and practical experience which is to any client's advantage as well as dual jurisdiction practising rights.
Direct Public Access
In England and Wales I accept and I am accredited to receive instructions direct from members of the public (and including companies, directors and partners). In Northern Ireland I accept instructions through Northern Irish Solicitors.
